Ballard Realty, Inc is a family run business owned by Ray Poletti. We offer full service Real Estate and Property Management Services. We have three divisions within our company; Real Estate Sales, Property Management and Maintenance Services.
Real Estate:
The Real Estate department is managed by the Owner and Broker, Ray Poletti. Ray has been selling Real Estate in the Seattle area since 1973 and has been the sole owner of Ballard Realty since 1980. The property management department is managed by Ray’s Poletti’s three daughters, Nichole, Monica and Angela who have over 30 years of combined property management experience. We employ a property manager, receptionist, handyman, cleaner and a bookkeeper. We manage property in the Greater Seattle area. We believe it is important to be close to the properties that we manage. A close proximity to our properties enables us to visit our properties more frequently and respond quickly and accurately to maintenance requests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Ballard on the corner of 17th and Market Street. Our Ballard location allows us to be easily accessible to our owners and our tenants. We provide face to face contact, which is crucial in Property Management. We manage a wide variety of properties including single family homes, condominium units, townhomes and multi-family properties. Within Ballard Realty Property Management is our maintenance department. Employing a maintenance crew has proven to be a great asset to our owners. Not only are we able to respond quickly to all maintenance requests but we have been able to provide this service at a lower rate than most third party vendors. Our handyman is very skilled at a variety of tasks and has been in the handyman/construction business for over 20 years.We feel confident that working with our company will give you a personal, at home experience that other companies cannot offer.
Biography: About Broker/Owner Ray Poletti
I was born and raised in Seattle and have spent most of my life living in or around Ballard. I specialize in properties located in Ballard and the surrounding Seattle neighborhoods. I have been a longtime member of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) and the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA). I have served on various boards including the Rules and Regulations Committee and have served as an arbitration mediator.
I began my career in real estate in 1973, after obtaining my Washington State real estate salesman license. From that moment on, real estate became my passion. I was able to combine my problem solving skills and enjoyment of working with people and turn that into a lifelong profession. In 1975, I obtained my real estate broker’s license and in 1976, I obtained an interest in Ballard Realty, Inc. I have been the sole owner of Ballard Realty, Inc. since 1980.
I started my career in the residential field. As I gained more knowledge of the real estate business, I found commercial and multifamily properties very interesting and today focus much of my career in that area. I sell a vast array of properties ranging from residential homes to multimillion dollar commercial buildings and vacant land.
I have established long term relationships with many of my clients, selling upwards of 15 to 20 properties to a single client. I have built a solid referral network and am now selling to second and third generations of clients. I have also listed and sold one multifamily building seven separate times. Lastly, I have been working on 1031 like/kind exchanges, moving owners from small properties to larger ones. The benefits are tremendous and the process relatively easy.
I have always put my client’s interests first and have been rewarded with many loyal and lifelong clients. I hope that I can continue selling real estate for many more years to come.
